You know that awful feeling the day before you get a cold or the flu or something? I have that now. My sister’s a doctor and I want to text her but I don’t think I have an actual illness yet. What would I call it? Pre-cold fatigue and aches? Hoping for a sick day syndrome? Ugh, I’m going to bed.

Filed under I text my sister instead of using WebMD She's annoyed with me

I still haven’t gotten over Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ breakup.

This is how I know the world is a cold, cruel pit of constant misery.

I still feel sad when I see them with other people. I feel like they were the Canadian power couple of all time.

lastvhs asked: This may be me just being stupid, but what is this summer of George about? Are we talking about George Michael? (Bluth or musician)

My Tumblr is a judgment-free zone for questions! “Summer of George” refers to the Seinfeld episode of the same name where George gets a severance package from the Yankees for the summer and creates a set of goals but never really accomplishes them. A few of us on here decided that in order to have a Summer of George, you can decompress and do whatever you want. You can set up a list of goals or just sit around in sweatpants all day covered in a fine layer of potato chip crumbs while listening to George Michael.

I don’t even know what you’d have to do to have a summer of George Michael Bluth. Make frozen bananas? Find a plain boyfriend or girlfriend? Lust after your cousin instead?

I was going to visit my mom today but I know she’ll be glued to her TV watching this shit and I just can’t. I won’t. Stop it, Mom, your obsession with the Royal Family is weird.

I’m obsessed more with the crazy events the Royal Family has than the actual people themselves. It’s weird because I have no connection to the UK but I’ve been determined to go there since I was little. Maybe it’s because I want a husband with a cool accent? I don’t know.

Watching the Diamond Jubilee on CNN. My grandparents who lived in colonial India are probably rolling in their grave over how obsessed I am with the whole event.

Tonight I went to see a movie with my mom. It would’ve been okay until we got to the theater and I saw all these punky high school kids. I wanted to yell, “YOUTHS!” and run away before they could mock me for being 23 and hanging out with my mom on a Saturday night. Whatever, my mom thinks I’m cooler than them anyway.

25 Day List: Day 1

1) Five most important/memorable childhood memories:

  • Going to India (1995 and 2002) and meeting my grandparents for the first time.
  • Getting the concert solo spot at an elementary band festival.
  • That Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration in second grade when my classmate asked my teacher why I wasn’t at a separate school because I was “black.”
  • Being forced to transfer to Catholic school in 3rd grade because I was so bad in public school.
  • The day we adopted our first dog, a Golden Retriever named Nugget.
